I admit, this cemetery is a five to ten-minute walk from where Kampong Siglap once was. I had included Kubur Kassim because it is a major cemetery on a hill that lies closest to the malay kampongs on the coast. Former residents of the kampongs might have been buried here.
The gate to Kubur Kassim, a Muslim cemetery at 426, Siglap Road.

Never been there..
Is the cemetery been exhumed? If yes, where is it relocated
Hi Zac,
As far as I know, the cemetery has not been exhumed, though there are probably plans to do so, since the site has been zoned for residential development in the 2008 Master Plan…
I have been a resident next to this muslim cemetery since i was born till age of 19 my entire village ppl shifted away to HDBs after being paid a certain amount for each house during those kampong days from the landlords to develop the land to Flamingo Village and some other uses, be it private houses or others. It had been a very sedimental and memorable childhood memories to me …staying there chasing after pigs, chicken and ducks and gooses, and plantation ground plucking fruits from those trees over the ponds, alws kanna scolded by adult neighbours for the dangers of falling into the deep ponds upon climbing those big tall trees to pluck the fruits,.If I have the time to go there to explore the areas again, I will but to tink wise, so scary to walk pass those tombstones and spirits now, childhood times we dun feel the scares at all too.
I dun think this cemeterywill be exhumed, as according to my ancestors, its land belongs to Sultan in Indonesia or Malaysia, so it is their land n not our Spore Land.
Thank you Sally for sharing your memories of Kubur Kassim!
My bet the government will go ahead and exhumed it. Pay the wakaff and start development, it belongs to an Indian Muslim philanthropy.
