A pair of animal statues flank the temple building. One is of a tiger (in this photograph). The other is of a leopard. The statues serve to remind us of the donors of the current temple complex, Aw Boon Haw and Aw Boon Par, 胡文虎 and 胡文豹. “Haw” and “Par” in their names refer to “tiger” and “leopard” respectively.
